Technical Team Lead

Position Overview:

We seek a highly motivated and experienced team leader to manage and guide our offshore development team and be responsible for maintaining and developing our remittance product. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, prior experience leading teams, and hands-on expertise in NestJS and React. Experience with PHP (legacy systems) is an advantage.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Led, mentored, and managed a team consisting of senior, mid-level, and entry-level developers, a Flutter developer, and a QA engineer.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the remittance product.
  • Collaborate with the product team to gather and prioritize requirements, ensuring the team delivers high-quality results on time.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and consistency.
  • Define and enforce best practices for software development, including CI/CD processes and agile methodologies.
  • Work hands-on when necessary, contributing to the development of key features or resolving complex technical challenges.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot issues related to the technology stack (NestJS, React, and PHP).
  • Ensure smooth communication between the offshore team and the main office.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies.

     

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in software development.
    • At least 3 years of experience in a Team Leader or similar role, managing cross-functional development teams.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in NestJS and backend development using TypeScript.
    • Strong knowledge of React for building modern front-end applications.
    • Experience working with PHP (legacy codebases) is an advantage.
    • Familiarity with databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile methodologies.
    • Understanding of mobile development principles (Flutter experience is a plus).
